The design and architectural glamor of Hollywood's glory days in post World War II Los Angeles is on full display in Netflix series "Hollywood." And our shop's building is featured in the show as an infamous gas station dubbed the Golden Tip.

Our building, with its original Streamline Moderne design, sets the scene for a fictionalized version of a real-life prostitution ring helmed by pimp Scotty Bowers, where the gas attendants are showbiz hopefuls who double as sex workers. (gasp)

The site was constructed in 1936 and served as a Mobil brand gas station through the 1960s. After that, the location and building continued as an automotive repair shop and is now the home of Luis Lopez Automotive.
