Terms, Warranty and Disclosures
** Payment Terms **
The total sum is due upon vehicle pick-up. Preferred payment methods are cash or debit cards, but credit cards and tap pay options are also accepted. There are no fees for using debit or credit cards. We also accept Synchrony Car Care cards for purchases of $500 or more. Checks are not accepted.
** SERVICE TERMS **
(1) "YES, DO THIS WORK" - I authorize this repair/service as described in the estimate, repair order or revision. I agree to pay the full amount shown.
(2) "DEBIT, CASH, OR CREDIT" - I understand full payment is due upon vehicle pickup via debit card or cash; credit cards accepted, no checks.
(3) "NO PAYMENT, NO KEYS" - A mechanic's lien secures service and storage fees on my vehicle.
(4) "TALK, TEXT OR EMAIL ME" - I authorize communication via SMS, phone, email, or in-person for estimates, approvals, invoices, and updates, for both current and future service.
(5) "GOODBYE OLD PARTS" - Unless requested before service, all replaced parts will be discarded.
(6) "YOU MAY DRIVE & STORE MY CAR" - I authorize shop staff to handle and drive my vehicle for purposes related to this repair/service. I understand and accept that the shop is not responsible for accidental loss, damage, or theft of the vehicle or its contents.
(7) "48 HOURS OR LESS" - I will retrieve my vehicle within 48 hours of service completion notification or pay storage fees.
(8) "HERE'S MY SIGNATURE" - My signature confirms my agreement with and understanding of these eight terms.
** 12/12 LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS **
12-Month/12,000-Mile Warranty: At Luis Lopez Automotive, we stand behind our services with a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first. If there is a defect in our workmanship within this period, we'll repair or replace it free of charge. For defective products used in our services, separate manufacturer warranties specific to the product apply. If a product fails within our 12/12 warranty period, our labor to replace it will be at no charge. This warranty is exclusive to the original service purchaser. To claim it, return the vehicle to our shop at 2751 Fletcher Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90039 during regular business hours, at your own expense. Warranty work carried out by other shops will not be covered or reimbursed.
Limitations and Disclaimers: Our 12/12 warranty specifically covers the services we provide. We make no other guarantees, either express or implied, including suitability for specific uses. No third party is authorized to assume liabilities on our behalf, and additional losses like time or income are not claimable.
** DISCLOSURES **
Hazardous Material (HazMat) Charge: Maintaining and repairing your car involves the use of chemicals and the generation of hazardous wastes hat must be stored, handled, managed, and disposed of in strict compliance with environmental regulations. This charge helps cover the costs associated with proper disposal, regulatory compliance, and safe handling of these materials. Therefore, a HazMat charge is listed on the appropriate service bill when the job or service requires it.

Lead-Acid Battery Recycling Act of 2016: “This dealer is required by law to charge a nonrefundable $2.00 California battery fee and a refundable deposit for each lead-acid battery purchased. A credit of the same amount as the refundable deposit will be issued if a used lead-acid battery is returned at the time of purchase or up to 45 days later along with this dealer’s receipt”
