At Luis Lopez Automotive, Inc., we’re better at fixing cars than we are at writing legalese. But California law (CalOPPA) says we have to tell you how we handle your data. Here’s the deal: We treat your personal info like we treat your engine—with respect, and we don't let just anyone under the hood.
1. What We Collect
To get your car back on the road, we collect your:
The Basics: Name, address, phone numbers, and email.
The Car Stuff: VIN, license plate, and your vehicle's service history.
Digital Footprints: Basic stuff like your IP address when you browse our site.
2. Who We Share It With (Our Pit Crew)
We don't sell your data to random telemarketers. We only share it with the pros who help us run the shop:
Mitchell 1: They keep our digital filing cabinet organized.
Auto Ops & Bolt On: They handle the "techy" side of your appointments and those handy text updates.
CARFAX: We report your service history here so your car stays "well-documented" for its next owner.
Us: We’ll use your info for our own internal marketing (reminders, deals, etc.). We promise not to spam you.
3. "Do Not Track" Signals
Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Honestly? Our website isn't sophisticated enough to recognize them yet. We’re still more focused on recognizing a vacuum leak by sound.
4. Your Info, Your Choice
If you want to see what we have on file for you, or if you need to change your email because you finally ditched that AOL account, just ask.
